The Resort at Pedregal brought four days of culinary adventure to Los Cabos October 26-30, 2016 during The Art of Taste Food & Wine Festival. Carved into a cliff on 24 mountainside and pristine oceanfront acres, The Resort at Pedregal served as a breathtaking backdrop to this highly-anticipated event, which featured internationally recognized chefs, mixologist and wine makers. Intimate in nature, the exclusive event was limited to 140 participants and offered meaningful interactions with a select group of master chefs best known for their inventive, seasonal cuisine.
This year, the event celebrated the spirited Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertos and included such star chefs as Richard Reddington of Redd, Dakota Weiss of Estrella and Sweetfin Poke, Sonya Coté of Hillside Farmacy, Eden East and Coté Catering and the resort’s new Executive Chef, Gustavo Pinet.
The 2016 festivities kicked off with a welcome champagne reception featuring canapés conceived by the invited chefs alongside a selection of cheeses and charcuterie. Festival highlights included instructional seminars focusing on subjects such as fresh salsa, tequila crafting, and wine and cheese pairing. The festival also offered an Ocean-to-Table class, concentrating on the preparation of ceviches, aguachiles, and tiraditos. A Dia de los Muertos dinner featured local musicians, food booths and artisans and the four-day event concluded with a gala dinner followed by music and dancing under the stars.
